Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a cognitive-therapy based intervention system for teaching skills that will help in coping with sudden, intense surges of emotion. The DBT Program provides a structured setting to work towards mastery of four essential life skills: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance.
DBT individual therapy and DBT Community Support services are where clients identify how to put these new skills into action. In therapy, participants track both old and new behaviors to make sure that they are moving toward lives worth living. The purpose of DBT is to teach the concrete steps that are necessary for problem-solving and moving forward. When you think that you have tried everything and nothing has worked, let DBT help you answer the question: “What makes your life worth living and how can you get there?”
