

ABOUT US
The Show Me Zero Youth Suicide (ZYS) Initiative is a collaboration among behavioral health providers to reduce suicides and suicide attempts in youth ages 10-24 by focusing on prevention and early intervention. The initiative has special emphasis on clients who are at higher risk for suicide.
What can you expect to receive from the Zero Suicide Program?
For those who meet eligibility, will be provided with a case manager who has specialized training and a deep understanding to address and manage suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Clients will receive intensive case management services to help connect them with long-term mental health treatment and will learn coping skills in their natural environments to better address their suicidality and maintain safety.

Program Goals
The main goals of the Zero Youth Suicide Prevention Program are:
- To improve the system of care for suicidal youth who use hospital emergency departments, inpatient psychiatric facilities and/or crisis hotlines
- Increase and expand upon prevention and early intervention efforts in schools
- Strengthen prevention efforts for at-risk youth in other setting
Who We Serve:
The Youth Suicide Prevention program serves youth ages 10-24, who struggle with suicidal thoughts or behaviors, and who reside or attend school in Jackson or Cass County.
